What are instructor best practices for online tests that use LockDown Browser?

 
  1. Have students complete a practice quiz that uses LockDown Browser to ensure they have installed the application correctly
  2. Create a Quiz with randomized questions (using Canvas Question Bank)
  3. Randomize the quiz question choices
  4. Require all quizzes to be assigned to the Lockdown Browser
    1. ​​​​​​​If webcam monitoring is desired, select Require Respondus Monitor for the exam
    2. Require a webcam check, environment check, & student photo ID
  5. Modifying the Lockdown Browser settings [PDF] to lock students into the browser until the exam is completed
  6. If necessary, faculty can allow access to specific external web domains
