How do I access the Accessibility Checker (UDOIT)?

The Accessibility Checker (UDOIT) is available from the navigation menu in every Canvas course. Follow the steps below to open it, run a scan, and review your results.

Steps

1. Accessibility Checker is not visible to students. If it's not in your course navigation menu, follow Canvas's directions for editing your course menu to add it.

2. Your course scans automatically when UDOIT launches. Wait for the scan to finish, then click Continue. You can check Don't show this again (or similar wording) to skip the introduction page on future visits.

3. To scan the course again at any time, click the blue Scan Now button.

NOTE: UDOIT does not scan attached or embedded files or external websites. On the Files page, only HTML files are scanned. Check and repair these items manually.
