Report Processing Using the Desktop Client
Use of Perceptive Content Reports Icons

Use of Icons Discouraged
Use of the Perceptive Content reports icons is discouraged. The other methods outlined in separate sections below are more direct and efficient.

1. Login the Perceptive Content desktop client using your NinerNet credentials. The menu bar below will appear. The available icons will vary based on your approved system access. The Reports icon is required for use of reporting features.

2. Click the Reports icon on the menu.
3. The Perceptive Content Explorer window will open with the Reports section expanded on the left side to show reports that you can access. An IBM Cognos Analytics login prompt will be visible on the right. If at this point, you choose to use the Reports icons that were historically used for navigation
the following actions will occur:
The Run icon will launch IBM Cognos Analytics in a separate browser window and prompt login with resulting navigation being the same as that shown in the inset windows in the sections below.
The Prior Versions icon will open a window listing prior versions for the report you selected in the Perceptive Content report listing. Select the desired version from the dropdown and click OK. This will prompt login in the IBM Cognos Analytics portion of the screen and will not render the version without using one of the methods outlined in the sections below.

The Import icon would allow you to upload a stored version of the report into a drawer in Perceptive Content. This would reside outside of the IBM Cognos Analytics reports function.
Viewing Saved Report Versions From Recent Listing
1. Login the Perceptive Content desktop client using your NinerNet credentials. The menu bar below will appear. The available icons will vary based on your approved system access. The Reports icon is required for use of reporting features.

2. Click the Reports icon on the menu.
3. The Perceptive Content Explorer window will open with the Reports section expanded on the left side to show reports that you can access. An IBM Cognos Analytics login prompt will be visible on the right. For enhanced security, Perceptive Content requires that you enter your NinerNet login credentials in order to access reports. Enter your User ID and Password in the fields provided and click Sign In.

4. After login, reports you most recently ran or viewed will appear in a list under the header Recent. Select a report in the list and hover over and click the
. Select View Versions to select and review an available version of the report.
Toggle Off Show Welcome:
If you do not see the Recent listing on your Home screen, click the toggle button beside Show welcome in the top right corner to close that message screen.

5. Select the version you wish to review from the list that appears. The available options will vary based on the frequency of execution of the selected report.

6. The available format options for the report version will appear. Click on the icon for the desired format to open a preview of the report.

7. Hover near the top of the previewed report to render a menu showing available actions. Select an icon to Save a local copy of the report, Print the report, or zoom in or out on the view.

8. After desired actions associated with the report are complete, click one of the icons shown below based on your next desired action.
Navigate Using Breadcrumb:
Within the Team content folder, you can navigate between subfolders by clicking on Team content in the breadcrumb at the top of the screen to return to the primary listing.

Opens a search box where criteria can be entered to locate reports that you have access to for processing. Use the
icons at the top of the screen to save or filter your search.
Opens a list of any report views that you have saved to My content.
Opens a list of Team content accessible to you for processing.
Opens your Recent listing.
Viewing Saved Report Versions From Team Content Or My Content

Enter your User ID and Password in the fields provided and click Sign In.

4. After login, click the
icon to view Team content report categories. Click the
beside the Reports category listing on the left side of the screen to view a full list of reports accessible to you. Once you determine which category the desired report is within, then click on the corresponding Team content folder on the right side of the screen.
Report Views in My Content:
If you run a report and save it as a report view it will be available to you under the My content folder
instead of under the Team content folder
.

5. Select a report in the list and hover over and click the
. Select View Versions to select and review an available version of the report.

Running A Report From Recent Listing

2. Click the Reports icon on the menu.
3. The Perceptive Content Explorer window will open with the Reports section expanded on the left side to show reports that you can access. An IBM Cognos Analytics login prompt will be visible on the right. For enhanced security, Perceptive Content requires that you enter your NinerNet login credentials in order to access reports. Enter your User ID and Password in the fields provided and click Sign In.

4. After login, reports you most recently ran or viewed will appear in a list under the header Recent. Select a report in the list and hover over and click the
. Select Run as to initiate execution of the report.
Toggle Off Show Welcome:
If you do not see the Recent listing on your Home screen, click the toggle button beside Show welcome in the top right corner to close that message screen.


5. In the Run as window that opens, if there are Format options or Parameters to be selected, select the desired options, then click the Run button to execute the report.

6. Once execution of the report is complete, it will appear in the right side of the screen in the requested format.

7. Use the
icon on the top menu to save it as a Report View.
Report Views in My Content:
Report Views are only accessible by the author. By default, they can be reopened within your My content folder.


8. After desired actions associated with the report are complete, click one of the icons shown below based on your next desired action.

Running a Report From Team Content

3. The Perceptive Content Explorer window will open with the Reports section expanded on the left side to show reports that you can access. An IBM Cognos Analytics login prompt will be visible on the right. For enhanced security, Perceptive Content requires that you enter your NinerNet login credentials in order to access reports. Enter your User ID and Password in the fields provided and click Log In.
4. After login, click the
beside the Reports category listing on the left side of the screen to view a full list of reports accessible to you. Once you determine which category the desired report is within, then click on the report listing on the left side of the screen. The most recent version of the report will appear on the right side of the screen.

IBM Cognos Analytics Sign Out
1. Prior to exiting the desktop client, use the Profile icon in the top right corner of the IBM Cognos Analytics window and select Log Out. This will ensure that other users on the same computer do not inherit your Reports access when the login.
Report Processing Using the Browser Experience
Viewing Saved Report Versions From Team Content Or My Content
1. Login Perceptive Content Experience at imaging.charlotte.edu using your NinerNet credentials. The Home screen will appear. The Reports icon is required for use of reporting features.

2. Click the Reports icon on the Home screen.
3. IBM Cognos Analytics will launch in a new browser window. Enter your User ID and Password in the fields provided and click Sign In.

4. After login, use the line menu in the top left to navigate to Content then click on the Team content tab
5. Click a list to locate the desired report. Select a report in the list and hover over and click the
. Select View Versions to select and review an available version of the report.
6. Select the version you wish to review from the list that appears. The available options will vary based on the frequency of execution of the selected report.

7. The available format options for the report version will appear. Click on the icon for the desired format to open a preview of the report.

8. Once the document opens, the icons in the top right corner can be used to download or print the document. The view can be adjusted as needed using the available dropdown options.
9. After desired actions associated with the report are complete, use the menu to navigate to another report.
IBM Cognos Analytics Sign Out
1. Click the Profile icon in the top right corner of the IBM Cognos Analytics window and select Log Out.
