eCommerce Access Request Form Submission Manual

This document provides general instructions on how to complete and submit an eCommerce Access Request Form.  For specific instructions on the content of eCommerce forms, please contact your supervisor or department.

System Access Restrictions

The ability to view items and complete actions within Perceptive Content is restricted based on approved system security access.  An FAQ on requesting access updates is available here.  Questions regarding which security group(s) will provide the access needed can be addressed by submitting a Help Desk Ticket.

eCommerce Access Request Form Submission

1.  Open a browser and go to the eCommerce Access Request Form link to launch the form.

2.  When prompted, enter your NinerNet credentials and click Log In.

3.  The form will be displayed with your UNC Charlotte ID and Name auto-populated in the Preparer fields.

4.  After viewing the instructions, click Hide Instructions to collapse them.

5.  The link will change to Show Instructions. Click on Show Instructions to view the instructions again.

6.  Click the Recall Document button in the top right of the screen to retrieve previously submitted transactions or saved drafts to use as a starting point for your new transaction.  Additional guidance regarding using this feature is provided in a separate section below.

7.  In the Access Request For section of the form, enter the UNC Charlotte ID of the person who's eCommerce access is being updated, or type their last name in the field and select it from the values that appear.  The remaining fields in that section and the fields in the Supervisor Information section will auto-populate.  The supervisor information can be updated, if needed, by editing the Supervisor ID.

Access Prerequisite: Before access can be granted, the following must be completed:

8.  In the Access Request section of the form, select the Merchant Group from the dropdown that the request impacts.  Only one Merchant Group can be selected per form.  Updates for another Merchant Group will require submission of an additional form.

9.  After selecting the Merchant Group, select from the related options in the Merchant Account dropdown.  The values available for selection will vary based on the Merchant Group that was selected.

10.  The STMS Account field will auto-populate based on the Merchant Account that was selected.

11.  Update the Access field dropdown to indicate whether the request is to Add or Terminate access.

12.  Update the Systems dropdown to select one or more Systems for which access update is being requested.  The field will then show the number of Systems selected with details auto-populated in the Selected Systems field.

13.  If the access request update is needed for more than one Merchant Account within the Merchant Group, then click the Add Another Entry button to add a new row in the Access Request section.  To remove an added row, click the X to the right of the entry.

Warning:

If multiple Merchant Account rows are included on one form then the Systems selections need to match.  The form will not process if the Systems selected on each row do not match.  Separate form submissions should be used if variation is needed.

14.  Enter Business Reasons or Additional Comments in the boxes provided, if appropriate.

15.  Click the Submit button to save the form to the system for processing.  A pop-up box will appear confirming submission.  If there is a need to clear all values entered and start over, refresh your browser.

16.  Exit the form by closing the browser window.

eCommerce Form Submission Using the Recall Document Feature

1.  If a defined set of form values will be used on a recurring basis, enter them on the form and then choose the Save As Draft button at the bottom of the form.  A confirmation pop-up box will appear.

2.  In order to use a previously submitted form or a saved draft as the starting point for a new request, initiate a new form and click the Recall Document button in the top right corner.

3.  A pop-up box will appear listing listing available options.  Locate the one to be used as a starting point and click the Recall button to the right of it.

4.  The values from the recalled form will auto-populate in the form.  Complete updates needed for the current request and click the Submit button to route the document for approval and processing.

5.  Exit the form by closing the browser window.

Next Steps

1.  A confirmation email will be received by the initiator.

2.  A notification email will be received by the person for whom the access request was submitted and the supervisor indicated on the form.

3.  An approval task will be generated for completion by one of the designated approvers for the selected Merchant Group.

4.  If approved by a designated Merchant Group approver, the form will route for approval by eCommerce.

5.  A notification email will be sent to the initiator indicating whether the request was approved or denied.
