How do I upload content to my personal webpage?

The hosting.charlotte.edu service will be retired mid-May 2027.  Starting October 12, 2026, new users will not be able to request accounts.  If needed as part of a curriculum for the Spring 2027 term, Faculty can submit a request for students using this form.  Please allow 5 business days for processing.

NOTE:  If you're editing your web page from off-campus, you will first need to connect to the VPN. (If you haven’t already, you will need to download and install the VPN.)

To upload content to the Personal Webpages account (once your account is provisioned):

  1. Open SFTP program of choice (Filezilla, WS-FTP, etc.)

  2. Connect to webpages.charlotte.edu (TCP port 22 - SFTP protocol)

  3. Authenticate using NinerNET credentials

  4. Upload content, make sure the main index file is index.html (all lowercase)
