If your computer is being quarantined by **Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)**, it generally means that the device has failed to meet certain network security policies or compliance checks defined by the ISE system.
- Outdated or Missing Software
- Your computer might lack the required security updates, antivirus software, etc.
- Non-compliance with Network Policies
- If your system does not comply with certain requirements like encryption, certificate installation, or login credentials, it may be quarantined.
- Infected or Compromised System
- If ISE detects malware, abnormal behavior, or suspicious network traffic from your machine, it may be quarantined.
- Unauthorized Device
- If your device is not recognized or authenticated correctly (e.g., wrong credentials or missing certificates), it may be quarantined.
What to do if your computer gets quarantined?
- Unplug and reconnect your network cable, then restart your device. If that doesnt work try step 2:
- Unplug the Ethernet cable, then connect to Eduroam
- Once connected to Eduroam, power cycle computer (hold power button until machine powers off)
- Power the device back on and connect Ethernet and login.
