How do I access Gemini with Data Protection?

Note: UNC Charlotte access is for the Gemini chat tool only and does not include access to Add-ons or extensions

Anyone with an active NinerNET account can access Gemini directly at http://gemini.google.com through their University Google account.

You can also access Google Gemini through your Google apps menu when logged into any other Google Workspace tool like Gmail. 

  1. ​​​Be sure to sign into Gemini with your Charlotte account to ensure you are accessing the data protection version available through the University.

     
  2. Choose your NinerNet account.

     
  3. Continue with your NinerNET login.

     
  4. After logging in, you will see your Google account profile image in the lower right.  When entering a chat, the following message will be displayed:
    Your UNC Charlotte chats aren't used to improve our models.
