What networked printers should a department purchase?

Follow these recommendations when buying a printer with university or research/grant funds.

  • Prior to purchasing a new printer, make sure you get approval from your department.

  • If you still have questions, submit a ticket to OneIT.

  • NOTE: Wireless printing is not allowed.

NOTE: Ink Jet (non-laser) and other consumer-grade printers are NOT Recommended. The cost per print tends to be higher and if the printer breaks, a new one will need to be purchased.
