Why is my employee Banner access revoked?

Why is my employee Banner Access is Revoked

Your Banner account access can be revoked if your supervisor does not complete the required security audits. These audits happen twice a year:

  • Spring Semester: Annual Banner Audit

  • Fall Semester: Semi-Annual Banner Audit

The University requires these audits to verify that employee access remains necessary and compliant with security standards.

Steps to Re-instate Access

If your access has been revoked due to an incomplete audit, follow these steps to restore it:

  1. Contact your supervisor: Your supervisor must contact the appropriate Banner Module Security Administrator to verify that your access is still required.

  2. Administrator Notification: Once your supervisor verifies your access, the Banner Module Security Administrator will notify the Service Desk.

  3. Re-instatement: The Service Desk will then re-instate your security classes.

Important Notes

  • Processing Time: Please note that this restoration process is manual and could take several days to complete.

  • Locked Accounts: If your account is locked rather than revoked, please refer to the FAQ on why account is locked
