How can I access the imaging system remotely?

What You Need Before You Start

  • A computer with an active internet connection.
  • Your NinerNet credentials.
  • Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection (required for Perceptive Content desktop client, optional but encouraged for browser access).
  • A Mac computer with Parellels installed (if you are a Mac user who requires the Perceptive Content desktop client).

Steps to Complete the Task

Accessing Perceptive Content via Web Browser

  1. Open any web browser and go to imaging.charlotte.edu.
  2. Log in using your NinerNet credentials.
  3. Access most standard imaging system functions, complete assigned tasks, or manage workflow approvals directly within the browser.

Accessing Perceptive Content via Desktop Client

  1. Connect to the university VPN on your computer.
  2. Launch the Perceptive Content desktop client.
  3. Log in to perform system administration, specific document capture functions, or property updates using Banner linking.

Accessing Perceptive Content for Mac Users

  1. If you require the desktop client on a Mac, request Parallels installation through the Service Desk.
  2. Once Parallels is installed, open the Windows environment and install the Perceptive Content desktop client.
  3. Connect to the VPN to access the system via the desktop client.

Accessing Softdocs etrieve via Web Browser

  1. Open any web browser and go to https://charlotte.etrieve.cloud/central/submissions.
  2. Log in using your NinerNet credentials.
  3. Access all standard imaging system functions, complete assigned tasks, or manage workflow approvals directly within the browser.

Important Notes or Exceptions

  • eForms & DocuSign: Forms feeding into the imaging system can be accessed and submitted using any browser without connecting to the VPN (NinerNet login may still be required).
  • Assigned Tasks: You can complete assigned tasks via email notification links or directly at imaging.charlotte.edu or https://charlotte.etrieve.cloud/central/submissions, depending on the active system, without VPN access.
  • Mobile App: The Perceptive Content mobile app on Android and iOS is currently unsupported by OneIT.
