What should I do if I lose my device with a 49er Mobile ID?

Audience/Target Users

What You Need Before You Start

  • Immediate access to a functional web browser via a computer, tablet, or secondary system.
  • Your NinerNET credentials.

Steps to Complete the Task

Temporarily Deactivating Your Card via eAccounts Web Portal (Immediate Action)

  1. Log in to the eAccounts web portal web portal as soon as possible.
  2. Locate and click into the Card Management menu.
  3. Identify the specific lost or stolen hardware device from your registered device list.
  4. Click on Deactivate Card. The system will instantly block that device's digital token from opening campus doors, spending balances, or using meal plans.

Reactivating Your Card (If Your Missing Device is Found)

  1. Return to the online desktop eAccounts web portal.
  2. Navigate back to the Card Management panel.
  3. Locate your recovered device and click on Activate Card. Your digital credentials will sync back to all live campus locks within a few minutes.

Important Notes or Exceptions

  • Deactivating your 49er Mobile ID profile through the portal only suspends its institutional campus access permissions. It does not delete your third-party banking cards stored inside your device's native Apple, Google, or Samsung wallet.
  • If your device is permanently gone or broken, you must complete this web portal deactivation step before the eAccounts app will allow you to link your digital identity to a replacement device.
