How do I check the date of purchase for a Dell system?

You will need the serial number from your computer - it can be found...

1. Located at the back of the tower computer or bottom of laptop
2. If University owned, double click crown icon in system tray
   
3. Once obtained, navigate to Dell's Support website - https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us
4. Enter the serial number in the Identify your product search box, and click search
5. On the next screen, click on View details
   

    

6. Details of the purchase date are in the Primary Support Service Status field
