How do I use multiple desktops in Windows 11?

Turning ON Multiple Desktops

If you do not see the Task view icon Multiple Desktops Icon on your taskbar, follow these instructions first:

  1. Right click on an empty space on your taskbar

  2. Click Taskbar settings
  3. Under Taskbar items, toggle Task view on as shown

Creating Multiple Desktops

  1. On the taskbar, select the Task view icon, then select New desktop

  2. Open the apps you want to use on that desktop

  3. To switch to another desktop, select Task view again
