How do I get a DUO bypass code? (Not available for Mobile IDs)

NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY USE THE GET DUO CODE PAGE IF YOU HAVE A PHYSICAL ID. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL ID, YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT THE ONEIT SERVICE DESK AT 704-687-5500.

What You Need Before You Start

  • A physical Charlotte ID card (You will need the last 5 digits of the 16-digit number on the card, not your 800/801 number).

  • Your NinerNET username and password.

  • Your date of birth.

Steps to Complete the Task

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to .

  2. Click Get Duo Code.

  3. Enter your NinerNET username.

  4. Enter your NinerNET password.

  5. Enter your date of birth in MM/DD/YYYY format.

  6. Enter the last 5 digits of your physical ID Card number.

  7. Click Get Duo Code.

  8. Copy the generated code.

  9. Go to the webpage you want to access (such as , , or ) and log in.

  10. At the Duo prompt, click Other options.

  11. Select Bypass code.

  12. Enter the generated Duo code and click Verify.

Important Notes or Exceptions

  • No Physical ID Card? If you do not have a physical ID card, you cannot use the Get Duo Code page. Contact the Service Desk at 704-687-5500 or submit a request at the for help.

  • Ineligible Accounts: Full-time OneIT staff and generic accounts cannot use this page for security reasons.

  • Expiration: The generated bypass code is multi-use, but it expires after 1 hour.
