Are we allowed to keep our physical desk phones?

Individual faculty and staff should not need a desk phone after the transition to Zoom Phone; departments may have exceptions (ie: phones for student workers, shared workplace phones, special accessibility needs, etc).

If a physical desk phone is needed either for a department or for an individual:

  • Submit a service desk ticket to Request a Physical Phone for Existing Line
  • Approved physical phones will be provisioned at no cost until Sept. 1st, 2024; starting Sept.1st, if a physical phone is required, departments will need to purchase a new Yealink phone.
