How do I remove my 49er Mobile ID from my mobile device?

If you recently got a new phone and having issues adding your 49er Mobile ID  or see the error " Contact card issuer for more information " you may need to remove the card from your old device.   
 
You can remove your 49er Mobile ID from your iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Wallet, Google Pay or the Transact eAccounts App on your phone. If you have replaced your phone, the old credential must be deleted in iTunes/iCloud, Google Pay or Samsung profile before a new credential can be claimed. For assistance, you can also always contact the 49er Card Office at 49ercard@charlotte.edu.

If you do not have your old phone/watch

For iPhone/Apple Watch

  1. Visit icloud.com
  2. Log in with your personal iCloud login
  3. Remove the credential from the old phone or remove your old Apple device

For Android/Google Play

  1. Visit payments.google.com
  2. Log in with your personal Google account
  3. Remove the credential from the old phone or remove your old Android/Google device

For Samsung phones using Samsung Wallet

Note that many Samsung phones support both Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet, though generally not simultaneously. Choose the appropriate option based on your setup.

  1. Visit www.samsung.com/us/
  2. Log in with your personal Samsung account
  3. Remove the credential from the old phone or remove your old Samsung device.

If you have your old phone/watch

From iPhone

  1. Navigate to the Wallet app
  2. Tap (…) in the lower right corner of your card
  3. Scroll to the bottom and select Remove Card
  4. Eligible cardholders who have not exceeded their device limit can add their 49er Mobile ID back at any time

From Apple Watch

  1. Navigate to the Watch app on your iPhone
  2. Scroll down and select Wallet & Apple Pay
  3. Tap on Transact Mobile Credential
  4. Scroll to the bottom and select Remove Card
  5. Eligible cardholders who have not exceeded their device limit can add their 49er Mobile ID back at any time

From Google Pay

  1. Open Google Pay
  2. Select your 49er Mobile ID from the available cards
  3. Touch the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen
  4. Select Remove ID
  5. Confirm Remove ID

From Samsung Wallet

  1. Open the Samsung Wallet app.
  2. Select Quick Access and tap on your Mobile ID card.
  3. Tap (…) in the upper right corner.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Eligible cardholders who have not exceeded their device limit can add their Mobile ID back at any time.

From eAccounts

  1. Open the eAccounts Mobile App on your phone
  2. Tap Continue to Sign In and log in with your NinerNET credentials
  3. Approve the Duo Two Factor Authentication request
  4. Click on your photo in the upper left corner
  5. Under Campus ID, click the icon in the upper right corner of your 49er Mobile ID display
  6. Tap Add or Remove Campus ID from Wallet at the bottom of the back of your 49er Mobile ID display
  7. Select device(s) to remove from your card
  8. Tap Remove in the pop-up box
  9. Tap on the Remove Card notification at the top of the screen or go to Google Pay and tap Remove Card displayed under the 49er Mobile ID Card
  10. Tap Remove in the pop-up box and the card will be removed from your Google Pay
