How do I set up 49er Mobile ID?

If you are having trouble setting up your 49er Mobile ID, please delete the app and re-download it. If you still have trouble, please submit a help request to the ID Office. 

Getting Started

Minimal setup is required to use your 49er Mobile ID. Most users can begin using their 49er Mobile ID on their phone in minutes.

You must have an active NinerNET account and an approved photo on file. If you haven’t done so already, set up your NinerNET account.

1. Download the Transact eAccounts app from your app store to your phone
2. Open Click through the startup screens and tap Get Started
3. Search for University of North Carolina at Charlotte and click through to the 49er Mobile ID login screen
4. Enter your NinerNET credentials to authenticate your device.
5. If you have a photo approved via Online Photo Submission, skip to the set-up instructions below.
6. If you do not have an approved photo on file, you will need to submit a photo to be displayed on your 49er Mobile ID. Click the gear in the top right corner, select Submit ID Photo, and then Get Started. Review the photo submission guidelines and upload an image
   • Photos will generally be approved within 1 to 2 business days

Set-up for iPhone and Apple Watch Users

Setting Up 49er Mobile ID on iPhone or Apple Watch

Once you have successfully authenticated in eAccounts, click the Add to Apple Wallet button to add your 49er Mobile ID to Apple Wallet. You can add your 49er Mobile ID to one iPhone and one Apple Watch.

1. Click iPhone and continue through the prompts (Next, Agree to Terms & Conditions)
2. When the process is complete, the app will send a notification to verify your 49er Mobile ID has been added to Wallet
3. Tap Done at the bottom of the screen to return to the Home screen of the app
4. You can now add your Apple Watch using the same process

Set-up for Google Wallet Users

Setting Up 49er Mobile ID on Android

1. Once you have successfully authenticated in eAccounts, you will need to enable NFC on your phone in your device settings. NFC settings can be found in different areas of the Settings menu, depending on your device. A common location is Connected Devices > Connection Settings. (If not found there, use the Search option on the top right to double-check)
2. Toggle the NFC setting to On
3. Open Google Wallet and make sure it is enabled as the default payment application. If the app prompts you to add a credit card, you can bypass that screen and return to the Google Wallet home screen
4. Open eAccounts again and click the Add to Google Wallet button to add your 49er Mobile ID to Google Pay
   1. Continue through the prompts (Next, Accept the UNC Charlotte Terms & Conditions)
   2. Next, Accept the Google Pay Terms of Service
   3. The next screen will confirm that your 49er Mobile ID has been added to Google Pay
