How do I create a hiring proposal?

There are five stages in the process of finalizing a hiring proposal for a SHRA position as pictured below. The process begins in NinerTalent with the Hiring Manager, or an Initiator acting on the hiring manager’s behalf, creating the hiring proposal.

Follow the steps below to complete Stage 1.

1. As the the Initiator or Hiring Manager, go to https://my.charlotte.edu/employee.

2. Navigate to the Employment & Benefits section and select the NinerTalent link (https://jobs.charlotte.edu/hr/)

3. Login with your NinerNet credentials.

4. Look for User Group in the top right corner of your screen and click the drop-down option to select Initiator as pictured below.

5. Click on the ellipsis in the top left corner of your screen and select Applicant Tracking as pictured below.

6. Result: The banner at the top of your screen should be blue. On the blue banner click the Posting tab and select SHRA as pictured below.

7. Click the Actions link and select View Applicants for the posting you want to review.

8. Select the name of the applicant you want to hire.

9. Change the applicant's status to Recommend for Hire.

10. From the applicant record, click on Start Hiring Proposal.

11. Click the blue Start button.

12. Enter all information and route to another Initiator or an Approver if required by your department. Otherwise, route to Human Resources for processing.
