How do I set up self-enrollment in Canvas Project sites or Training courses?

 
  1. Access your course or site
  2. In the Navigation area, click the Settings link
    Click the Settings link
  3. On the Course Details tab, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the more options link

  4. Select the Let students self-enroll by sharing with them a secret URL option
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update Course Details
    Click Update Course Details 

    NOTE:  We recommend that you do not use the Add a “Join this Course” option because students will still be presented with the Enroll in Course button and then will need to click the Join this Course link 

  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and the secret URL is displayed under the Description area

  7. Copy the secret URL and email to students or post to your web site
