How do I use the Poll Everywhere mobile app to respond to polls?

 
  1. The Poll Everywhere mobile app is available on Android and iOS devices.  The app allows you to respond to polls or conduct a poll.
  2. Go to the App Store or Google Play store and search for Poll Everywhere.
  3.  Download and install the app

  4. When you launch the app, you will be taken to the landing page where you are prompted to "Join presentation" NOTE:  You must Log In first using your @charlotte.edu email address and NinerNET credentials in order to get credit for taking the poll.

  5. If your instructor has turned on "Attendance Management" - the Registration button or the Launch Log-in window will prompt you to log in with your NinerNET credentials and authenticate

  6. You will be redirected to the Poll Everywhere Log in page:
    • Use your @charlotte.edu email address
    • Click the blue Next button
    • *Do not sign in with Google or Apple*

7. The next screen prompts you to click the blue Log in with UNC Charlotte NinerNET button

8. You will be redirected to the Charlotte Web Authentication page and prompted to enter your NinerNET ID and Password

9.  You will be prompted to authenticate using Duo, complete the authentication and return to the app

10. Depending on your phone type (Apple or Android) - several other authorization screens may appear - click "Yes, this is my device" and/or "Authorize"

11. You will finally come to the Settings page - where you know you are connected to Poll Everywhere properly because you will see your Name and @charlotte.edu email address. Verify these. Then click on the Home button to start taking polls! 

 

Note: For proper functionality, make sure you are connected to the UNC Charlotte EDUROAM wi-fi and NOT NinerWiFiGuest.
