How do I use the Short URL service for a university website?

• Anyone can create a short URL that points to a target in the *.charlotte.edu domain
• Short URLs will use a randomly generated URL using  *.charlotte.edu
• Faculty/staff can request a redirect to a custom domain (URL) for university websites:  see the FAQ titled How do I create a redirect to a new custom domain (URL) for a university website?

To create a random short URL:

1. Go to https://shorturl.charlotte.edu. Click the Click here to generate a random go.charlotte.edu short URL that redirects to a *.charlotte.edu domain.

        2. Enter the link you want to shorten in the space provided. Click Submit.

        3. Your short URL will be created.
