How do I search for emails from someone who has a regular email address and an alias?

It can be difficult finding all the emails from someone who has a standard @uncc.edu email address and an email alias. Standard searches will typically search for one email address. You can search for both by following the instructions below:
  1. Go to gmail.charlotte.edu
  2. Log in with your NinerNET credentials
  3. In the search bar at the top of the screen, type in from:(firstname lastname) for example in the search box type from: jane smith

  4. Hit Enter or click the Search icon
  5. The results will show all email from the username, jsmith1@uncc.edu and jane.smith@uncc.edu
