The IRS requires the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to furnish all employees with a Form W-2 for each calendar year to be used in completing the employee’s annual tax returns. The Form W-2 details the employee’s compensation and tax withholding amounts for the year.
Due to IRS regulation, the University is required to print employees' Form W-2s and mail them to the employee's home address on file by the January 31 deadline.
As a convenient alternative to receiving a paper copy via U.S. Mail, UNC Charlotte employees have the option of receiving their Form W-2 electronically through My Charlotte.
Current employees can view or edit their permanent address on file in Banner Self Service.
Former employees can also access their Form W-2. Learn more by selecting the Former Employee Form W-2 FAQs. These FAQs will help them understand how to access their Form W-2 and how they will know when their Form W-2 is available.
