How do I sign up for/log into an AWS Educate account?

INFO: In order to ensure AWS Educate meets your needs and appropriate design considerations are taken into account, please consult with Justin Ashe, Support and Endpoint Solutions Manager, jlashe@charlotte.edu, in the office of OneIT, prior to signing up for AWS Educate.

1. Go to Amazon's Education webpage
2. Click on the button to Join AWS Educate
   
   
    
3. Select the Educator or Student option, as appropriate
   
    
4. Complete the application and click Next 
   
    
5. Read through the AWS Terms and Conditions and click Agree if you agree to the terms. Then click Submit
   
    
6. A verification email will be sent to your UNC Charlotte email. Click the link to confirm your address.
   1. Please allow 24-48 hours for your account to be approved when signing up with your @uncc.edu email address.
7. During the sign in process, if you're an educator you will be asked for a credit card in case you use more than your initial credits. Speak with your department to determine the best method of payment
   1. Students are not required to enter credit card information
8. Any future login can simply use your University email address and the password you setup with the account
