How do I install Sophos antivirus on my personal computer?

Sophos provides active employees and students with Sophos Home for use on personal computers for free.

 
  1. You will get a 30 day free trial of Sophos Premium, if you choose to not pay for the premium upgrade after the 30 days, you can still enjoy Sophos Home versions
  1. To install on your home computer you can follow the steps below. The installation should take approximately 10 minutes
Windows Mac

  1. Go to the Sophos website and click the Download link


     

  2. Click Download Now under Free Download


     

  3. After downloading, run the executable Sophos Home Installer, click Install


     

  4. Follow the wizard to complete the installation


     
  5. Launch the application, select Let's Start


     
  6. Click Create Account using your personal email address




     

  7. You will receive a confirmation email; click the Confirm Email link provided in the message


     

  8. Sign in using the credentials you created


     

  9. After successful Log In, you will be redirected to the Sophos Home Dashboard

  1. Go to the Sophos website and click the Download link


     

  2. Click Download Now under Free Download


     

  3. After downloading, click SophosInstall.zip, launch Sophos Installer.app and click Open






     

  4. To Install Sophos Endpoint, click Continue, check box to accept License Agreement, and click Install




     

  5. Follow the wizard to complete the installation 


     
  6. Launch the application, select Let's Start


     
  7. Follow steps to grant Sophos permission on your Mac


     
  8. Installation was successful when you receive the prompt: You are ready to use Sophos Home
    Click Done to be redirected to the Sophos Home Dashboard
