1. Download both files
2. Run the IBM SPSS Statistics 28.0.1.1 for Mac (follow the instructions on the FAQ) How do I install SPSS on a personally owned computer?
3. Quit the SPSS app
4. Double-click (to unzip the file) on the IBM SPSS Statistics 28.0.1 Interim Fix for MacOS 14.0 (Sonoma). You should see two files
5. With Finder open, select Finder > Go > Go to Folder
6. Enter the following Path: /Applications/IBM SPSS Statistics/SPSS Statistics.app/Contents/lib/
7. You should see multiple files, select sort by name, and scroll down until you find this file “libplatdep.dylib”
8. Copy the “libplatdep.dylib” file on your desktop
9. Open a new Finder window and navigate to the IBM SPSS Statistics 28.0.1 Interim Fix for MacOS 14.0 (Sonoma), select the “libplatdep.dylib” file, and drag it into the “/Applications/IBM SPSS Statistics/SPSS Statistics.app/Contents/lib/” folder
10. Select “Replace.”
11. Close finder and open the SPSS application.
