As described in the following State and University policies, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is the only delegated authority for all software and IT-related contracts, purchases, or acquisitions. Therefore, the CIO (OneIT) must review/approve all software and IT-related requests prior to purchase. The IT review assesses data security and compliance, as well as implementation, support, and existing solutions, among other IT considerations.
