Microsoft Copilot with Data Protection is a more secure, campus-wide alternative to consumer-oriented generative AI services, including the consumer version of Copilot.
Students, faculty and staff have access to Copilot with Data Protection using their charlotte.edu accounts.
With Copilot you can:
- Create and edit emails and other text-based content
- Summarize web pages and pdfs
- Find relevant information and facts with links to referenced sources
- Generate summaries, outlines, bullet points, or captions of content
- Check grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style errors
- Suggest alternative ideas or paraphrasing of content
- Translate text between different languages or convert units and currencies
- Create images and videos (Please note 3rd party plug-ins are not available in Copilot with Data Protection which may limit some functionality e.g. creating music)
