How do I access Microsoft Copilot with Data Protection?

Anyone with an active NinerNET account can access Copilot directly.

Be sure to sign into Copilot with your Charlotte account before you begin to access the enterprise version with additional data protection.

  1. Click the Sign in button (image below), then Sign in again on the window that opens

  2. Continue with Microsoft.
  3. Ensure you are signing into your Charlotte account by using username@charlotte.edu as your email address.
  4. Continue with your NinerNET password.

  5. You also need to select the option to use Copilot for Work.
  6. When starting a New Chat, look for the Data Protection shield icon in the upper right.
  • If you do not see a shield icon, then you are using the commercial version without data protection.
  • Microsoft Copilot works in Microsoft Edge Chrome, Firefox and Safari.  Copilot is built into the Edge browser. For other browsers, go to copilot.charlotte.edu and login.
  • A Copilot mobile app is also available.
