No, the Zoom Docs feature is not available in our University's Zoom accounts.
You may notice that the Docs tab in your Zoom account settings shows the tool as being locked by the admin.
The Office of OneIT evaluated this tool and found that it does not meet our functional needs at this time. The findings showed that using the tool:
- caused network connection issues for participants in meetings,
- required a manual refresh to display edits causing disjointed versions of the document to be displayed, and
- could create a data storage issue for Zoom accounts.
- Additionally, the built-in AI tools for Zoom Docs are not as robust as other tools, such as Copilot with Data Protection, which is approved for use at the University.
