Can a Web Time Entry (WTE) approver submit the timesheet on behalf of the employee?

Yes, a Web Time Entry approver can submit the timesheet on behalf of the employee when the following applies:

  • The WTE employee has started the timesheet prior to the pay period ending.  Pay period ends on Saturday at 11:59pm.
    • If the WTE employee does not start a timesheet before the pay period deadline, time worked must be submitted using a manual timesheet. Submit manual timesheets to payrolldept@charlotte.edu.
  • Approvers may submit the timesheet on behalf of the employee only after the timesheet submission deadline.  Submission deadline is the Monday at 11:59pm following the end of the payroll period.

Approvers follow these steps to Submit a timesheet on behalf of the employee. 

  1. WTE Approver should access the WTE preview page for the pay period.  Click on the "in progress" bar. 

  2. A list of WTE employees with timesheets in progress will be displayed.  Select the employee. 

  3. The "Timesheet Detail Summary" Page will display.  Click "submit" button located at the bottom right of the screen. 

        NOTE:  the Submit button is only available after the WTE submission deadline has passed.  Timesheet submission deadline is Monday 11:59pm following the pay period end date.
