How do I set up my new Dell Computer (received April 2025 or after)?

Beginning April 2025, the University will manage NEW Windows-based computers, such as newly issued Dell computers, using Windows Azure Cloud Join to provide a more efficient and secure process for managing these university-issued devices. This change does not include new computers issued to the College of Engineering.

When you receive the new computer, it will be partially set up. Since the set-up is personalized around your account,  you will need to complete the set-up process which usually takes about 25 minutes.  Please plan accordingly.

Please follow these steps to complete the Device Setup:

Device Setup

  1. Sign in with your full ninernet@charlotte.edu email at the "Let's set things up for your work or school" screen.
