How do I turn off live transcription in Zoom meetings?

  • By default, viewing and saving live transcripts is turned on for all users to enhance accessibility.
  • If a host does not want meeting participants to view  or save live transcription:
    • Log in to the Zoom web portal
    • Click on Settings
    • Click on Recording, review Recording settings including where the recording will be saved, closed caption and audio transcript settings.  
    • Click on Meeting setting, click In Meeting (Advanced), turn off Full Transcript and Save Captions
  • ​​​​​​​Once these settings are changed, meeting participants will not be able to view or save a live transcript.
