Supervisors of non-exempt mandatory employees who had to come to campus during a C2 status must mark the hours worked on the timesheet as “EMR Hours Worked”. If a supervisor requires an employee to report to work, they will receive equivalent time off (ETO) on an hour-for-hour basis. Marking these hours as Emergency Hours Worked on the timesheet will lead to the generation of COMPETO for the employee.
From the Time Entry tab view, on the row that has the hours that a mandatory employee returned to campus to work:
- Click in the drop down under the Emer Hours Worked column
- Select “EMR Hours Worked”
- Click SAVE in the top right to save the changes
- You may be prompted to leave a comment.
NOTE 1: Mandatory non-exempt employees who report to work prior to the actual start time of the C2 status will need to have the hours split for that day so that only the time worked during C2 is designated as “EMR Hours Worked”.
Example Scenario for hours during crossover:
- Shift 4:00PM - 1:00AM
- C2 status started at 9:00PM
- Click the (+) to add a new row for time entry
- On the new row, enter the time ‘From’ 9:00pm – ‘To’ 1:00am and select “EMR Hours Worked” from the drop down.
- On the original row with the initial time entry, change the ‘To’ time to 9:00pm
- This is showing the time worked prior to the start of the C2 status and would read 4:00pm - 9:00pm
