The Jamf Migrate App is not available on the iPad

  • Open Settings and navigate to General > VPN & Device Management.

  • Choose MDM Profile.

  • Choose Remove Management and tap Remove.

  • The MDM profile will uninstall and now a manual enrollment can be performed.

  • Exit Settings.

Next, the Self Service app has to be deleted because it’s connected to the old Jamf server.

  • Locate the Self Service app. Press and hold down the app until the app menu appears.

  • Choose Remove App and then Tap Delete App.

  • Sign in with your account information (ex. jsmith@charlotte.edu and NinerNET password)

  • Enter your NinerNET email address for the assigned user and tap the search icon. Once the account is verified with a check, choose Enroll.

  • Choose Continue to start enrollment.

  • Tap Allow and the profile will download to VPN & Device Management in Settings.

  • Tap Close and quit the browser.

  • Open Settings and navigate to General > VPN & Device Management.

  • Choose the downloaded MDM Profile and install the profile.

  • Tap Install and verify the MDM profile by tapping Install a second time.

  • Tap Install and Trust for the certificate installation and remote management.

  • Tap Done after the profile has completed installation.

  • UNC Charlotte – ITS will be listed below the MDM Profile to show it is currently managed.

  • An App Installation notification may appear. This is for any managed apps that aren’t currently installed on the device. You may have to tap Install a few times.
