What version of Microsoft 365 can I use?

  1. Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)  is available to all students, faculty and staff with active NinerNET credentials.
  2. There are 2 different licensing programs in place; which option you get depends on your role:
    • Anyone with an active NinerNET account can use Office365 online or on a university computer (Office 365 A1 license)
    • Students, faculty (full time and part time) and full time staff  (not part time) can install the Office software on up to five personal computers (Microsoft 365 A3)
    • Emeritus can request an upgraded license to use Office365 on up to five personal computers.
  3. NOTE: Alumni are not eligible for this program.
  4. Microsoft 365 can be accessed by going to office365.charlotte.edu and logging in with your @charlotte.edu credentials.
