Connect to H drive:
- Open File Explorer
- Right click on the Network section and click Map Network Drive

- From the Drive drop down menu, select H:
- Type in \\filer.uncc.edu\home\username (replace < username > with your NinerNET username)

- Click Finish
Connect to J drive:
- Open File Explorer
- Right click on the Network section and click Map Network Drive

- From the Drive drop down menu, select J:
- Type in \\filer.uncc.edu\dept\dept abbreviation (replace dept abbreviation with your abbreviated department name)

- Click Finish
Connect to S drive:
- Open File Explorer
- Right click on the Network section and click Map Network Drive

- From the Drive drop down menu, select S:
- Type in \\filer.uncc.edu\dept

- Click Finish

Before you begin, open Finder. Select Finder on the top menu bar > click Preferences > General. Check Connected Servers box. If not, the server icon won't be seen on the desktop.
Connect to H drive:
- From the Finder Menu bar at the top of your screen, click Go
- Click Connect to Server

- In the Server Address: field, type smb://filer.uncc.edu/home/username (username is NinerNET username)
- Click Connect

- When the dialog box appears, enter your NinerNET password to authenticate
- To open your H: drive, click the folder with your NinerNET username
Connect to S drive:
- From the Finder Menu bar at the top of your screen, click Go
- Click Connect to Server

- In the Server Address: field, type smb://filer.uncc.edu/dept

- Click Connect

- When the dialog box appears, enter your NinerNET password to authenticate and open your S: drive
- To open your S: drive, click the folder called dept
Connect to J drive:
- To open your J: drive, click the folder with your department's abbreviation
