How do I use a fob for Duo authentication?

After entering you NinerNET username and password, at the Duo prompt...

Fob Token - OneIT Configured (prior to 3/21/18)

U2F Token - User Configured
  1. Click Enter a Passcode
  2. Click the text field to the left of the Log In button
  3. Insert the Fob into a USB port
  4. A green light will turn on in the center of the gold button on the Fob when it is properly plugged into the USB port
  5. Pinch the gold button on the Fob - a string of characters will be passed into the text field
  6. Dual authentication will complete and you will be logged in
  7. Log out of the service when you're finished

NOTE:  This option should only be used if you don't have the ability to use a mobile device. You are responsible for lost or stolen Fobs. Fobs are configured to individual accounts and cannot be shared.

 

 
  1. Select U2F token from the Device dropdown option
  2. Insert the Fob into a USB port

  5. Dual authentication will complete and you will be logged in
  6. Log out of the service when you're finished
